Osmo Summer Camp

We had the opportunity to try out the Osmo Little Genius Starter kit over the last few weeks and it has been a hit with the kids. We are going through a big transition, moving cross country and things have been hectic, so it has been nice having structured play for the kids with Osmo. Osmo is real play, real learning and even better it is something the kids can do together.

We moved from San Diego to Chicago over the last two weeks and while we have been unpacking and it has been raining non-stop, the kids ask daily for their “fun Osmo games” to play together.

My daughter, Marlie is 4 and my son Jax is 3 and they both enjoy learning about the ABC’s, shapes, and getting creative making their different creations on the screen. Osmo Talks to the kids and guides them through different educational games and activities.

Osmo has become a fan favorite in our house ever since I introduced it and I have enjoyed watching how much they have learned. One of the biggest things I have noticed is that Jax can now identify every letter in the alphabet after playing with the app and even likes to show me how he writes them with chalk on the driveway.

Does anyone else feel guilty when they do screen time with their kids? For me, Osmo is different, because it is such a positive approach to screen time and with the 6 different apps the little genius kit has to offer it keeps the kids engaged and learning all different things.

It was so easy to set up on my kid’s fire tablet and I do not feel guilty when we are playing with it because it has had such a positive impact. I also love that I have been able to do it with them and engage while they play too. They will both be starting preschool in the fall and this has been the perfect educational activity for both on-screen and off-screen this summer. I can’t wait to continue to use our Osmo and use what they have learned off the screen too!
